Bangkok Trip 2012 13 May to 17 May

 Day 1
so this Bangkok Trip serves as a graduation trip as well as a holiday before i enlist on June 7!

we flew by Tiger Airway in the early morning like 6am plus and i did not have any sleep the previous night! so expect to see a lot of cui photos. And it's also the very first time i am flying by budget airline and not to say to check in at Budget Terminal.

Upon reaching Thailand, we travel by rail and then by feet to our hotel. anyway we are living at Baiyoke Sky hotel, also the tallest hotel in Bangkok!

Since we are only allowed to check in to our rooms at 12pm, we deposited our luggage at the hotel lobby and starts to travel around. Our hotel is only 15 mins walk away from the nearest shopping mall platinum. but the weather itself makes it seems like a 45 mins walk. Bangkok temperature is close to 40 degree Celsius by the way which makes it a lot more hotter than our Singapore. Poh Chin's friend, Justin and Yong Qiang showed us the way around the shopping malls. the malls are all inter-linked and hence provide full shelter.

heir train still uses the same system as Singapore back in the olden days whereby u have to purchase your card at the automated machine and then slot it in into the gantry and then take it out again for exit purpose.

We had lunch at a nearby shopping mall near the MRT station. And this is the Thai style of Kway Chap. Spicier instead of our Singapore style which tend to be a bit salty.

 

our first shopping spree at Bangkok was at chatuchak market which is only open during the weekends.  there were 15,000 shops in there so you guys can shop till u DROP! but the weather is so freaking hot i don't think any normal Singaporeans can take that heat! so spending the entire day there is kinda insane.

after half a day of shopping at Thailand, we went back to our hotel for dinner! INTERNATIONAL BUFFET!!!

anyway the food ain't that authentic and i don't expect much from them after all.

and that marks the end of day 1!

6 months internship

i know its been eons since i updated my blog but thats due to my busy schedule this semester. ok basically, i have endured and been through 6 months of internship! woo! this call for a celebration. really, i have learnt not to trust anyone in this world and some people appears to care for you but when you get into trouble, they just leave you alone. and of course, there are some colleagues with sucky attitudes, two face, who would find someone else as a scapegoat when he/she gets into trouble. seriously, why is this world so complicated.

besides working from 8.30 to 5.30 on weekdays and 8.30 to 12.30 on alternate saturdays, i too have Japanese elective program in school and NAPFA tests to sit for! like DA FUQ! i swear that i have realized how important weekends are.

and by the way, i did something which i have always been wanting to do all along. BRACES! YES! ok apart from looking slightly uglier, i believe all would go well when i take it off at the end of 2 years? haha

but one thing thats been on my mind is NS. it certainly is drawing nearly and there is no way escaping from it. i am having mixed feeling. how would NS transform me. would it really make me into a grown up man? i believe it would push me out of my comfort zone while testing how far i could go mentally and physically. thats the price i have to pay for living in Singapore i guess.

i have been keeping my fringe for the past 3 years of my poly life till yesterday i decided to cut it away!

so do i look the same as compared to the first photo taken 4 years ago? gosh look at how much i have change haha.

a small update

so we had a small class gathering last week at fisn'n'co glass house last friday (24/10/11) to celebrate Dawn's birthday. its my first time there and i really like the service despite the air-con blasting straight right at our table. sorry for not clubbing with u guys as i am going USS the next day keke. anyway i like the carrot cake :)

notice our fashion sense? haha. internship is the stepping stone for everyone to learn how to dress maturely and our old lunatic colleagues are the one who makes us go crazy day by day.

ok so let me post a bit about my internship. from depression to finding joy in my work. first 2 weeks is really driving me mad when i have to carry about 700 to 800kg worth of cheese, meat, and etc. and then packing them into cartons (which we have to fold ourselves). thinking that its so unfair that i am working with uneducated people while my classmates get to work with educated and refine people plus getting to wear formal to their office. Then after 1 month, i was posted to office. all thanks to the live invoice posting system, they need more manpower in the office to do admin and SAP. but i really dread sorting of invoice each morning. imagine being thrown 200 to 300 invoices and u are ask to arrange from biggest to smallest number. this is trashy stupid job.
don't wanna mention much about my supervisor. hopes he quits after he gets his bonus haha.


have to go back to school on monday and tuesday for japanese lesson. 40 more days to JLPT!!! gambatte~
die die have to get this cert. come to think of it i need to make a trip to kinokuniya to get some japenese books to widen my range of vocabs!!!

hair cut/ last exam

the very last paper for my Poly life at Ngee Ann before i officially graduates. but of course, i do hop that its not the very last paper in my life! ok anyway i would have a about 1 week plus left before my internship officially begins. do hope that i do not screw up! >.<

anyway i dyed my hair black. still missing colored hair. maybe red is a wrong move. perhaps brown would be better. but oh well now i am starting to like my black hair after my haircut. :D
